But what we’re going to talk about is death, the diagnosis, and Holy Spirit. Um because I told you that in the gospel, everything was purchased. And so the only mechanism that God has placed in the hands of the priest was his gospel. It has been entrusted to us. And maybe next week I’m going to go into a little more explanation on that.
But the the truth is every priest must understand the gospel because if you don’t understand the gospel then you won’t know how to or what to mediate and you’ll just be doing stuff that you hear other people do at church. And that don’t mean it’s right because it happened at church. And so what we’re going to do here is we’re going to explain the gospel not today but throughout the course of this series in such a way where you understand how to mediate. How to mediate.
And so in Romans chapter number 8 um and verse number 1 through8 what we read is the context here is the apostle Paul who is writing a gospel dissertation almost giving a gospel dissertation uh to the church at Rome and and the church consists of both Jew and Gentile and he wants them to understand how the gospel has brought them together and all that God has accomplished just as I’m sharing with you here today. And so we’re going to talk about his death, which is the first part of the gospel. But in chapter number seven, which is the context to chapter 8, uh Paul begins to discuss how the Jew or anybody cannot be saved by the law. Uh he’s sharing the gospel in contrast to the Old Testament law, the decalogue, the ten commandments. And he says, “The law is good, but the law can’t save you.” He said, “The best the law can do is make you aware of your own sinful nature.” And and he he goes back and forth in chapter 7.
He talks about his desire to do good. He says, “In my mind, I serve the Lord. I want to do the right thing, but every time I try to do the right thing, I find myself doing what I don’t want to do. He says, “When I would do good,” he said, “Evil would always be present.” How many read Romans chapter 7 before? And and Paul is going back and forth talking about his condition.
And and he’s using his condition as an object lesson for humanity. And he says, “So then I I understand it’s no more I that do the wrong thing, but it is sin that dwells in me.” Now, now I need y’all to get close to me. He’s saying the human condition before you’re saved is one where in your mind you want to do the right thing.
But there’s another law in you worn against the law of your mind bringing you into captivity which is the law of sin. We have we were born with a sinful nature. Say it. Sinful nature. That’s like a machine in you.
That’s like a force in you that leads you the wrong direction. If you had a, could you imagine in your mind if you had a car that that was programmed uh to go someplace you didn’t want to go? Say in this new age, we got these new uh modern cars and say you could program one to go to Tallahassee, Florida, but you’re trying to go to Chicago. And every time you hit the gas, it takes you the opposite direction that you wanted to go. That’s very similar to how the sinful nature works.
You may have a desire to go over here and love on that person, but the sinful nature keep taking you a different direction and saying, “Forget them. And I ain’t shutting that person cuz that was what they did to me. And every time you make up your mind, you going to walk in love and walk in forgiveness. When you see them, something stirs up in you and the sinful nature takes you another direction.” Paul said, “In my mind, I want to do what’s right.” Has anybody ever had that experience? I want to do what’s right. in my mind, but there’s something else in me that’s pushing me to go the wrong direction.
He said, he said it’s he called it the law of sin. A law is something that governs you. And so, so there is a government in every person that drives them the wrong direction. I just need to do a little check here. Is that true?
Has anybody experienced that? I just need to know. Uh, a few of you answer. Let’s try. Is that true?
Did Did anybody ever have that experience? Okay, I just want to make sure. All right.
So, so Paul said, he said, “Well, what am I going to do about this situation? What am I going to do about it?” I want you to put on the the screen Romans 7:4. He says, this is the conclusion of chapter 7. What does he say? Read, “Oh, wretched man that I am.
Who shall deliver me?” He didn’t say, “What shall deliver me?” He said, “Who?” Then he gave the answer. What did he say? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So who’s going to deliver me? Say it louder.
He says, “So with my mind I myself serve the law of God, but with my flesh, what will I serve? The law of sin.” That’s the context. So then he moves into chapter number 8, verse number one. Put it on the board, the screen. Chapter 8, verse one.
He moves here and I need y’all to track with me today. He says, read together. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh.
So, so he says something happened. Jesus saved us. So, how does he save us? And if we’re shown up saved, he says there is no condemnation. to those that are in Christ Jesus.
So, so the gospel comes in here somewhere. Jesus died for our sins. And I’m going to show you what happens. Jesus died. And when you believe on his death, something happens.
You see, we were all sinners by nature. It was the law of sin. And the Bible says the wages of sin is death.
And so, all of us were meant to be judged by God for sin. But because God so loved the world, he sent his only begotten son who is Christ Jesus. He was the substitutionary sacrifice of propitiation. His death was it appeased God’s justice, satisfied God’s justice, and his death was substitutionary in our place. He suffered for us, the just for the unjust.
He paid the penalty. He paid the price in full. Everything that belonged to us, he said, “Give it to me. I’ll take all the hellfire. I all of the abandonment.
I’ll take all of the punishment that every one of them deserve. I’ll take it all and I’ll pay it full so there’ll be no charges against them.” I said, “Nobody can accuse them of anything when I get done.” While he was on that cross, he said, “It is finished. I paid the price in full. They owe anybody who believes in Jesus, they don’t owe anything to God.” So then Paul said, “Therefore, there is no condemnation. No one can accuse you of any wrongdoing before God, not because you didn’t do it, but because Jesus already paid for it.” So, so, so the devil can’t come up and say you shouldn’t go to heaven because of what you did.
You got to say Jesus paid it all. This is his death. So, it literally judged Satan. His death destroyed Satan’s ability to lay claim on our soul. His death uh destroyed anybody’s ability to charge us as guilty before God.
We have been justified from all charges. You watching by live stream, you need to understand if you believe on Jesus, you’ve been justified from all charges against you. I know people may talk about you, but you got to say Jesus paid it all. You are declared innocent as if you never made a mistake before the most high God because the power of his blood. So Paul says, “There is thou no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus.” What does that mean?
No condemnation. The word there kata crema. Katakma is the Greek word for condemnation. And watch what this word means. A very interesting word.
It means that there is no judgment, no judgment against you. And there is also no sentence. This is what happens in a courtroom. a judge. If a judge finds you guilty of certain charges, guilty of murder, then they have to come back and provide a sentence. This word really captures both.
It deals with the judgment, but it also deals with the sentence as well. So there’s no judgment or sentence. You know what the sentence is? The sentence is a curse. The true definition of a curse means that God has said there’s a sentence against you.
A curse is when you are not only guilty, but you are going to have this thing on you that’s going to cause your ruin. A curse is when God invokes his power to ruin your life. But those that are in Christ Jesus, not only are they forgiven and justified, there’s also no curse attached to their life. I wish I had somebody that just heard what I said. I said no guilt or curse.
Say it. No guilt or curse. And I have to say this guilt or curse.
But because there are so many believers who still think they are cursed. They don’t understand the death of Jesus Christ. So the mediator, the priests have to learn how to mediate the gospel. When you got believers running around thinking that they are cursed, the mediator has to say, “No, there is a reality that you should be experiencing in your life if you truly embrace the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.” That’s what I call gospel reality. We mediate until there’s a world where people believe that there’s no guilt and where they believe that this community that I’m talking about of believers.
The it should be a community of people that believe that there’s no curse on their life. Can you imagine what a community looks like if everybody in the community believes that there’s no curse on their life? But the opposite, they believe they’re blessed by God. They believe they’re favored by God. There’s no guilt, no shame, or no curse, only a blessing.
That’s the reality that the church should be experiencing every day if the gospel was really lived out in the believer’s life. But the problem is we get saved, but the gospel has not been fully mediated or appropriated in our life. Because you can’t say a curse if you believe this gospel the way it is written. I said, “It’s not a curse. It’s not a curse.” I know some of y’all still believe you cursed, but you’re wrong.
You’re wrong. You’re trying to tell me that God has issued a verdict against you for you to be ruined. He has not. He says Jesus paid it all.
So, how on earth is God going to issue a verdict against you, for you to pay a price, and for you to be ruined in some area of your life as though Jesus blood didn’t satisfy God’s righteous demand? God has not cursed his own children. God has not cursed his own people. The devil lied to you. And a and a preacher who didn’t fully understand the scriptures has also misled you.
No believer is cursed by God. It doesn’t make natural sense. Neither does it make theological sense. You can’t be cursed once God once you have believed The Gospel OF Jesus Christ. And I’m going to prove it in just a moment.
But I just need you by faith to say, “I don’t think I’m cursed. Maybe I got something mixed up. I don’t think I’m cursed. Maybe I’m blessed and I don’t know it.” And because I don’t know it, I’m not walking IN IT AND I think I’m cursed. So maybe it’s psychossematic.
Maybe it’s psychosis. Maybe Somebody Worked MY Mind And Made ME THINK I Was Cursed When Really I’M BLESSED OF The LORD JESUS CHRIST. So we need to look Are we cursed or blessed? You’re hanging out with the Hebrew Israelites. They’ll tell you you’re all cursed because you haven’t kept the the law.
They’ll tell you you’re cursed because you haven’t kept the law. So if y’all through black pride want to go back and do that cuz you don’t know who you are and you need to feel like you’re part of something bigger than yourself, then you go and join a Hebrew Israelite and give up the blood of the gospel and all this stuff and then try to overcome the law and then you’re going to come to the conclusion that can’t nobody live the law and you’ll be back in Romans 7 trying to come to Jesus to get your sins forgiven and go right back to justification. You can spend your time in that cycle because of loss of identity.
But I’m sticking with Jesus. I’m telling you y’all. I’m sticking with the Lord because he is there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved other than that name. Let me show you. Let me show you.
I want you to look at Galatians chapter 3 and verse number 13. Galatians 3 and 13. What does it say? Read everybody. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us.
For it is written, cursse is everyone that So the text says we have been what? Redeemed from the curse. So Jesus was cursed in our place. Jesus died in our place. Jesus to hell in our place so we would not have to go there.
Either the gospel is true or it is a lie. Who has believed his report? And who has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities.
The chastisement of peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed. Ladies and gentlemen, you are not cursed. You need to get that out your spirit, man.
Come on, get it out your spirit, man. Watch verse number 14. What does he say? Read. He did all of that that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles.
How? through Jesus Christ that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith. So, not only are we not cursed, in fact, we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I’m trying to correct the record. Somebody said, “Well, it sure feels like a curse.” And it look like a curse. And they say if it feel like a curse and look like a curse, it may be a curse.
Well, let me help you out. Let me help you out. Let me help you out because it’s not a curse. We just understood it’s not a curse.
So, it has to be something else, right? It has to be something else. So, before I help you out, and I’m going to help you out, but before I do that, can we celebrate the fact that he took the curse for us? Can we do that? Really, you be happy about this gospel?
That’s why they called it good news. He suffered for us. And when you go find an unsaved person, say, “He suffered for you.” You don’t have to stay in that state. You don’t have to be a slave to sin. You don’t have to live up under the curse of the law because he paid the price for you.
The gospel is good news. It’s not you going to die and go to hell. Is he went to hell for you so you don’t have to go to hell. Why don’t you believe in the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ? Some people are suffering needlessly because they have not believed the gospel and they’re sitting in churches thinking that they’re cursed.
Nobody who believes the gospel is cursed. What did verse number eight say? There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. No one can say you were condemned or cursed. or they violate the gospel. And he’s given us the gospel as priests to mediate a reality where a community can emerge with no curses.
A community, see, can you get it? A community with no curse. What does a family look like with no curses? Bring it home. What does a marriage look like?
And nobody’s cursed in the marriage. Matter of fact, both of them are blessed. What does it look like when you got a whole nation that’s blessed of the Lord? That was his intent. And that’s the that’s what we’re going to mediate as the royal priesthood.
We’re getting ready to mediate and create a community of people who are not cursed, a curseless community. We’re going to mediate a community of a whole church. Everybody walking in blessing, everybody experiencing the power of God. Just give us the 2030. We going to get this thing done.
We are going to mediate a community of people who are not cursed and they don’t believe they’re cursed. Now, you can, if you’re not saved, you can have a curse in your life. If you’re not saved, you could have some real curses at work.
So, I need to show you that first. But the issue is diagnosis. Say it with me. Diagnosis. We have to learn, that’s my second point.
We have to learn how to diagnose people’s conditions. So when I see somebody, you see somebody, it look like they’re going through, say, “Oo, that looked bad. Your daddy had that? Yeah.” Your granddaddy had that? Yeah.
Oh, your great-granddaddy. Yes. First thing we say, “It’s a curse.” If you’re talking to a believer, it is not a curse.
Now, if you’re talking to unsaved people is probably a curse. Remember, a curse by definition IS When GOD says this ruin is coming to you. Now, if you trying to say the devil’s cursed somebody, well, the devil can’t curse a believer. Some people afraid of wish doctors and afraid of some little lady running around with stringly hair calling herself a witch trying to do something outside your house. Get out of here, you peeon.
No little witch can curse a believer. You can try all you want. God has pronounced me blessed. You can’t curse what God has pronounced blessed.
Now, if you want to get in your mind and start believing in her power, then you won’t access the power of the blessing. But no witch, no witch doctor, no warlock, no devil in hell can curse what God has called bless. So stop being afraid of these little people running around here trying to put the hoodoo on you. Want your hair so they can go do something with it. Well, whatever.
Find some of mine. It’s everywhere. I don’t know where it went. Somebody got it. It’s gone somewhere.
Wherever it’s at, they got it. But you ain’t put nothing on me because I’m covered by the blood. Glory to God. When you’re covered by the blood, ladies and gentlemen, there is no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus. I said there is no condemnation, meaning no condemnation or curse.
So, we’re not afraid of witches. We’ve had some witches come to this church because they felt the church was growing too fast and they felt God was doing too much and the devil sent them on assignment. And all you going to do is get the devil cast out of you or you got to go because we’re not afraid of witches. We’re not afraid of warlocks. We’re not afraid of woodworkers.
We’re not afraid of people who want to stop the move of God with their human spirits. It doesn’t matter. There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Nothing can stop the move of God. I’m giving you right teaching so you can think right.
I should have not uh prayed so long. Because now the time is getting away. But I need you to see Zechariah chapter 1. I want you to see that unsaved people can be cursed. Unsaved people can be cursed.
What does it say? Then I turned and lifted up my eyes and looked and behold a flying robe. That’s a scroll. That’s a that’s a a book with writings on it. And what this is the prophet Zachchariah seeing this and what did he see?
Verse two. And he said unto me, what seeth? And I answered, I see a flying row or a scroll or a book. The length thereof is 20 cubits and the breath thereof is 10 cubits. Verse three, read.
Then said he unto me, who is the he? God is talking to the prophet. What does God say? This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth. So this curse went over the whole earth.
Then he says, for everyone that stealth shall be cut off as on the side according to it. The curse said anybody who’s stealing going to be cut off. That was written in the book. And everyone that swearth shall be cut off as on that side. So one side says people stealing is going to be cut off.
The other side people who are swearing shall be cut off. Watch verse number four. Read. I will bring it forth. Who’s going to bring it forth?
God. God is going to bring it forth. Sayaeth the Lord of hosts. And it shall enter into. So guess what?
You can have a curse in your house. This curse entered into the house of the thief. That means their family. The house wasn’t just the building. The house was their bloodline.
I will enter into their house, and into the house of him that swearth falsely by my name, and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with timber thereof, and the stones thereof. In other words, this curse is going to stay in the house until all the family is consumed. If God sends a curse and say everybody in the household is going to be ruined, that curse is in that family line and you see them dropping generation after generation from the same stuff. And it is a generational curse. Verse four, read verse four.
Read. Oh, we read verse four, huh? Sorry about that. All right.
So, so I need you to know that curses are real. Say it. Curses are real, but they are only once you get into the New Testament, that’s Old Testament, they are only they can only enter the house of those who are not in Christ Jesus. Once you’re in Christ Jesus, they cannot enter your house. So what is it that we see happening generationally in the house of believers?
Well, it could be a couple of things. That’s why we have to learn how to diagnose. Diagnostic work is very important. We teach them at co-ag before you go put a treatment together for somebody you’re mediating for, make sure you diagnose the case right because if you get the diagnosis wrong, then everything you do after that will be wrong. And I’ve seen it happen.
I used to work at a hospital years ago and that they they they somebody needed their leg amputated. This is a true story and it I forget it was the left or the right leg. They sent the patient back and they came back with one leg gone amputated but the doctor amputated the wrong leg. So they had to send the patient back and get the other one and they became a double amputee when they only was supposed to lose one leg. They make mistakes, right?
You can diagnose a thing wrong and mess a person’s like kid can come in they can diagnose the kids with this this this in five minutes and they put it in the kids record and it follows them throughout their whole life and some parents allow that kind of stuff. Don’t believe that everybody gets the diagnostic work right. Even in the church of Jesus Christ people come in and people hear their story and then they start saying this is what your problem is.
But what if they’re wrong? If they’re right, then the treatment will work. If they’re wrong, everything they do after that can mess people up. This is why I pray to God all the time. God, this thing is for real.
We We’re not playing with human lives. We are priests, royal priests of the most high, and we got to get it right. I just can’t flippidly say something that’s not true or that I’m I can’t be practicing on people as if that this we just practicing medicine so we can mess 100 of them up once we get the 101st right. Well, you got a hundred people who whose blood is on your hands.
So, if we’re going to be a priest, we have to be skilled at what we do. And then when I preach like this and there are others that say, “Well, I don’t know if I want to be a priest cuz I don’t want to mess nobody’s life up.” So then you don’t have nobody working because some people are afraid to work and then other people are presumptuous and may mess people up. But the truth of the matter is, ladies and gentlemen, it doesn’t always have to be a curse. If you’re dealing with the believer, you can almost rule the curse out if they’re really in Christ Jesus. Because Jesus took the curse for us, did he?
I can’t hear you. Did he take the curse for us? So why are we running around here saying we’re cursed, some of us? Either he did or he did not. Well, let me tell you, pull up a chair.
Sometimes it can be generational patterns. There’s a difference between generational patterns and a generational curse. Yes, granddaddy did it. Yes, daddy did it. Yes, you are doing it.
But if everybody’s in the kingdom, it’s a generational pattern. It God didn’t God is not trying to ruin the family. That’s what makes it a curse. It’s it’s learned behavior. It’s culture that’s passed down from generation to generation.
It’s epigenetics. It’s all of those things that can be passed down from generation to generation. And just because it’s generational doesn’t mean it’s a curse from God. The devil may try to use it that way, but you can pass down good and you can pass down bad. And God may not be saying anything about it.
Culture is passed down. Some people cook their food a certain way because their mama cooked it that way. I heard a story about the people who used to cut their their ham off on both sides. They get a ham and they cut this side off and they cut this side off and they put the ham in the pot and they go on and cook it. And uh they kept doing it.
Then the the the daughter started doing it. Then the grandchild when got got married later on grew up and bought some ham and she was cutting the ham on both sides too. And the kid said, “Why y’all cut half of the ham off or cost the edges of the ham off? Why do you cut them off?” She said, “I don’t know.” She said, “My mama used to cut the edges of of the ham off.” She did. She said, so went to their mother, “Why?
Why do you guys cut the ham off?” She said, “I don’t know. My mother used to cut the the the edges of the ham off.” They said, they said, “Let’s go talk to grandma.” They went to grandmother said, “Grandma, why why you why do you cut the ham off?” She said, “Oh, baby.” You know, we had our pot was just so small and uh our pot was so small back in them days. We had to cut the ham off to fit it in the pot. That ain’t no generational curse. That’s a generational pattern, ladies and gentlemen.
And patterns can flow from generation without God speaking and without Satan speaking. And every pattern we see, people want to call it a curse. It’s a curse if God is trying to doom the family. And God is not trying to doom these families. We’re dealing with more generational patterns than anything today.
Dad wore purple shoes, so you trying to find some purple shoes. I don’t know why y’all like purple shoes. Brothers from the South, they dress like that. Tommy got on purple shoes. No, no, no.
No, no, no. Really, people in certain parts of the world, they dress a certain way. They put a feather in their hat. Everybody got feather in their hat or put something up in here. And all all this stuff is generational.
You do it cuz you saw your daddy do it or your granddad and on and on and on. Don’t call it a curse. Call it a pattern. And patterns can be broken. At some point, you got to say, “This pattern is not serving us well at all.
We got pots real big. So, there’s no need to cut the t the ham on either side. Let the ham stretch out in the pot cuz we got more miles to feed anyway. Patterns can be broken by the blessing of the Lord on your life. Sometimes it’s a pattern.
Some so right diagnosis sometimes it’s simply consequences. If you sow to the flesh corruption, you’re going to reap corruption. That’s not God cursing a person. You can be saved and sew it in the flesh. True.
If you drinking like a fish, though you’re saved and you end up with cerosis of the liver, you can’t say God cursed you and you even can’t say the devil did it. That’s a consequence from abusing your body. And we got to call it like it is. Come on. People in church be trying, that’s the devil, come get prayer.
Let’s rebuke the devil. Nothing, man. Why you drink all night? You should have repented a long time ago. We have to tell the truth.
Some things are simply consequences. And we have to discern between the consequence and the curse or pattern. And some things are chastisement. Sometimes you’re going through look like a curse because God is spaking that behind. Have you ever had God get after you?
I have. I’ve been under chastisement and they probably thought I was cursed because God was getting after me to try to change my mind and my behavior about something. He didn’t let nothing go right until he got in me what I was supposed to get in me. And it and a sense of me praying talking about this is God judging me. This is a loving father raising me and correcting me and and and he he chasens those that he loves.
So sometimes when they come to the altar to say and pray for me, I ain’t praying for you. I’m praying you get obedient to God. I’m praying that you do what God told you to do. I’m not going to pray that God deliver you from this. You need the whooping.
You’ve been acting too bad. You haven’t changed your mind about some things and the Lord is spanking that behind so that you can grow up into him in all things. You got to discern what’s going on if you’re going to be a priest cuz they’ll come and make everything the devil. The devil probably say they lie on me more than I lie. Devil up in heaven talking about Lord your people be lying a lot Lord.
They blame me for everything that goes wrong in their life. Or they believe God. They blame God. God is hurting me. God is dooming me.
But it could be consequences and some stuff is. I’m trying to get in shape right now. You know why? Eating too many cookies, undisiplined in some areas gain too much weight. Don’t say me praying not about this.
Get yourself to the gym. Step away from the cookies. Step away from the sweets. Stop eating at a certain hour of the day and and have decent proportions. You don’t need seconds all the time.
Don’t be talking about God, I need your help cuz you can’t sleep at night. Got acid reflux. You got acid. stuff stuff coming up while you trying to sleep because you ate at 9:30 at night and you couldn’t stop. That’s called gluttoning. It’s a sin.
Gorgging and all of that, ladies and gentlemen, you can’t be trying to make that spiritual. That is not it’s not God cursing you. That’s bad living, bad behavior. And we have to deal with that.
And so when it comes to you as a priest, you got to be able to diagnose what’s going on. Sometimes it is an attack from the devil. It’s and it and the devil can attack a person. say, “Hey, you’re in spiritual warfare.” So, we do fight that. And other times, it’s psychosis, psychosmatic. People think they’re cursed when really they’re not.
That’s psychosis. That’s an illness. That’s something wrong. You’re calling yourself cursed when God has called you blessed.
So, you open the door to negativity and close the door to positivity. You need to renew your mind. And so, it’s not always, say it, it’s not always a curse. There is no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. All right, real quick.
I’m out of time, but I want you to look at the rest of this verse. Go back to Romans 8. And I need you to see this, and I’m going to conclude on this point. Are you guys getting something out of this? Romans 8 says verse one.
Go back to verse one. Read everybody. There is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but verse two everybody. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from. So his death is to produce a community that is free from the law of sin and death.
That’s the purpose of his death. When I mediate that is to create a people who are free of the curse, free of condemnation. And they live under what law? Say the law of the spirit. Every person in this church will be free from the law of sin and death if they learn to live under the law of the spirit.
It’s a law. It’s a law. The law of the spirit. What is it? How do you know if you’re living under the law of spirit?
Those that are living under the law of spirit will be walking in love. because that’s the fruit of the those that live under the law of the spirit will be walking in joy, walking in peace, walking in forgiveness, longsuffering, patience, kindness, gentleness, meekness. That’s the fruit of the spirit. Those that are literally living under the law of the spirit doesn’t mean they jump and shout, but after they get through shouting, they walk in kindness. They walk in gentleness. They walk in patience.
They walk They walk in understanding. They have a word of wisdom. They have a word of knowledge. They have a prophecy. They have tongues.
They have interpretation of tongues. They have discerning of spirits. They have a gift of miracles. They have a gift of faith at work in their life. They have gifts of cures, healing that work in their life.
They are apostolic. They’re prophetic. They have all this flow in their life from the spirit. If they’re under the law of the spirit.
So, as so many people said, you can’t say you are under the spirit just by speaking in tongues. is what you do after you stop speaking in tongues. It’s what you do. You can run around the church. Let’s run.
But we want to know how you’re living after you stop running because that proves whether or not you’re under the law of the spirit. If you’re under the law of the spirit, your lifestyle will change. The Holy Ghost will move you to do certain things. The Holy Ghost will move you to forgive, to love, to bless. The Holy Ghost will cause you to conquer sinful habits.
The Holy Ghost will say, “Let’s break that yoke on your life.” Because the law of the spirit is higher than the law of sin and death. What I mean by higher, we have airplanes that are subject to the law of gravity. When they are on the ground, gravity pulls them down.
But oh, if they start rolling, there’s another law called the law of lift. And the law of lift is stronger than the law of gravity. So though the plane weighs thousands of pounds, gravity can’t hold it down because there’s a greater law at work. What am I trying to say, ladies and gentlemen? Sin may be grievous, the habit may be strong, the devil may be strong, the nature may be strong, but if you get in the spirit of the Lord, there is a lift that will happen in your spirit and God will cause you to live above sin.
You don’t have to be a slave to sin. doesn’t mean you’re not going to fall in it, but you can certainly get up and you can certainly overcome and you can certainly transcend sin by the law OF The SPIRIT. THAT’S Why When the worship goes up, I got to get in the spirit with the people because there’s a law at work. That’s why when the prayer meeting is happening, I want to get in the spirit because there’s a law at work. It’ll break the law of poverty. It’ll transcend the law OF DEATH.
The Devil Could BE trying to bring you down. But if you get in the spirit, it’s the law of the spirit And Life. IT Gives You Life. IT makes you vibrant. It causes YOU TO GO Above What The Devil Has Planned IN Your Life.
You better not ever let the spirit go by without getting in the spirit. The spirit is the law That Conquers The Law OF The Devil. I Wish Somebody IN HERE would clap your hands until you feel the spirit of the Lord move in your life. Say, “The law of the spirit.” The law of the spirit. This is a church where people live under the law of the spirit.
Because if you walk in the spirit, you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. Two laws. If you don’t walk in the spirit, you will fulfill the lust of the flesh even though you are saved.
So, it’s about what law are you going to live under? I’m not done, but I need you to stand right there. I heard Jamal, Pastor Jamal, talking about the calip, the the caterpillar and the butterfly. And he said something to the sort of you start out crawling like a caterpillar, but then God sends you through a transformation and you become a butterfly. And he said it’s important that you recognize you’ve gone through the transformation or you’ll be a butterfly still thinking like a caterpillar.
That was very good. We got we the the media team has fixed it where I got TV in the office and I can see what y’all doing out here now. So I was listening to you. The point is this. He was right.
There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. There’s no curse. There’s only a blessing.
But if you still think like you’re cursed, you’ll be that caterpillar in mind. Though you’ve got wings to fly. You’ve got wings that fly, but you won’t flap them cuz you think you still need to crawl. Can we shift that, ladies and gentlemen? Oh, glory to God.
If you know that he died for your sins and you embrace his sacrificial substitutionary death in your place, there is no condemnation or curse from God coming your Yeah, the devil will try to curse you, but that’s small fries because God has already declared you blessed and that’s more powerful than anything hell can dream up. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father.
So, flap your wings. Try to fly. Transcend the law of sin. That thing that has you messed up, see if you can flap above it. Father, we worship you.
Stir the gift. Stir the gift. Because when the spirit moves, a law is moving. It’s the law of life. It causes you to live and become vibrant.
It causes your mind to think different thoughts, higher thoughts. When the spirit moves, your mind goes to a different altitude. Say, “I can’t get rid of my depression.” Get in the spirit. Get in the spirit. Cuz I need you, Melissa, to put on the board, the the screen real quick verse number four while we’re standing.
And we’re just going to read it. Verse four. Romans 8 and4. What does it say, everybody? that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but we can fulfill the righteousness of the law by the spirit. Next verse, watch this.
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the spirit, you know what that means? Some people esteem the flesh nature. They esteem murder, bitterness, anger. They esteem it. It is This is how you handle life.
The world turns its back on you. You turn your back on the world. That’s Lion King, I think it was. Some people think and honor the flesh more than they honor the but they that are after the spirit they mind the things of the spirit. What are the things of the spirit?
Word of wisdom, word of knowledge, prophecy, love, joy, peace, all those are things of the spirit. Helmet of salvation, sword of the spirit. Those are all things of the those that esteem those things, that’s what they go after. I want to be an expert in the things of the spirit. The priest must become an expert with the things of the spirit because that’s what we’re mediating, the things of the spirit. eternal purpose, God’s plans for people’s lives, the rebuke of the devourer, wealth transfers, all of those things of the spirit.
We mediate when the time is needed. That’s the job of a priest. So, the death of Christ allows you to mediate a community with no curses, no condemnation. Sin has no dominion over us. That’s what Romans says in chapter 6.
Sin shall have no dominion over you. That’s what he said in chapter six. Because of the spirit. Don’t say you can’t get freed. Just say you’re in the flesh.
The only way you can’t get free if you live in the flesh. You stay in the spirit. The spirit mind is different. Next verse.
Come on, stick with me, please. Next verse. Read. For to be carnally minded. What the word?
What carnal means? What? To be natural-minded or fleshly minded. To be carnally minded is what? If you think that way, it kills.
But to be spiritually minded is what? It’s life. So what if you got a community with everybody who has a spiritual mind? What does that community look like? What if you have a family with everybody with a spiritual mind?
When the family gets together, you can say carnal mind, spiritual mind, carnal mind, spiritual mind. after the flesh, after the spirit, psychosis, walking in the flesh, all that mixed together. When you’re walking through the church, you can hear the conversations, carnal conversation, you hear it all. Spiritual conversation. The job of the priest is to mediate a condition where the house is spiritual. We’ve made spirituality.
Spirituality is what you do after. It’s after. Come on, let’s worship him right there, saints. Come on. Worship.
Glory to God. Glory to God. If you’re here today and you want something from the Lord, I need you to get to this altar now. You need prayer. You need prayer.
Come on up here. some prayer. Come on and get some prayer. You are a butterfly behaving like a caterpillar. Get up here and get some prayer. You want to give your life to Jesus?
Get on up here right now and today. Come up here now and get the help. I don’t care if you was up here every Sunday, get your help today. If the Holy Ghost is moving, you got to learn to move with the spirit. Move with the spirit.
Come on up here and move with the spirit of God. Move with the spirit. The spirit. Those you watching by live stream, move with the spirit. This is the church controlled by the spirit of God.
Move with the spirit. Glory to God. Learn how to live above the sin that does so easily beset you. In the name of the Lord. We got to mediate healing in this house.
When people get sick, we need a priest that can mediate healing. When people are broke, we need a priest that can mediate resources. Thousands of us must rise. Thousands must rise. Glory to God.
Thank you, Jesus. Come on, join the church. Become a part of this move of God. We’re for real. 2036 is going to be a real year. We got to be more than a 2-hour service.

Yes. Thank you team. Thank you. Ladies and gentlemen, we have to learn to live from the gospel. The gospel gives us a picture of what the future universe will look like.
No curse, no condemnation, and all the other facets of it. The believer must learn to live from the future because the victory is already won. You learn to live from the future, you can apply to the present. I want to just show you this illustration really quick. Let me see that.
And since you’re here, you might as well participate. I want you to see if you can hold it in the palm of your hand and balance it. All right. Hold your hand out. You got You can’t grab it.
You got to hold it in the palm. Just like that. Like this. You can’t make your hands flatter than that, man. Keep flat.
You think you can balance this? Let’s try. No, you don’t. Don’t. You’re bringing He’s able to do it.
Come here. Let’s try you. This This is This is a professional boxer, right?
So, he should be able to do this. He’s an extreme athlete here. Hold your hand out. Are you ready? Go.
Now, why could he do it and he could not? He was looking at the palm of his hand. That’s akin to a person who look at their life for right where they are. When you look at your life according to your present location, you can’t balance. He was looking at the top, the farthest point from where you are.
He was looking to the future. When you live your life looking to the future that God has ordained, you can balance everything in the present. But if you’re only focused on what’s happening in the here and now, you can’t balance anything. The church is supposed to live their life from the future that he’s already won in the gospel. Thank you.
Great illustration. So those of you who say this is what’s going on today, today, you’re going to lose balance. What has God already done and and what is it going to be like tomorrow? What has God ordained? That’s what gives you balance.
You got it? All right. I need you to prepare to give your offering. We’re going to get you out of here now. Prepare to give your offering.
Without a vision people, what is the vision of what God has said? Vision gives you balance. A life with no vision, no balance. Some of you are giving by the QR code. Some will bring your gifts.
I want you to get those gifts ready. Hold up your giving devices. I would like to pray for you. Pray for these gifts. Father, in the name of the most high, we pray blessing on each gift and each giver.
Let there be a blessing in the household of the believer. And let that blessing work until everybody is healed and well in the house. We command blessing on every household. That’s what we mean now in Jesus name.
Amen. And you can come. I am sold out. My mind is made up. I am sold out.
My mind is made up. I am sold out. My mind is made up. I am sold out. My mind is made up.
My heart is fixed. My mind’s made up. No room, no vacancy. I’m all filled up. His spirit lives in me.
And that’s the reason I’m s out. My heart is missed. My mind’s made up. No room, no vacancies. I’m all filled up.
His spirit lives in me and that’s the reason I’m s my heart is fixed. My heart is fixed. My mind my mind’s made up. Don’t hold no vacancy. No vacancy build up.
The spirit lives in me. That’s the reason I’m say Bishop, don’t leave yet. We want to take a moment on behalf of the church to celebrate you on your birthday. And in the interest of not practicing generational patterns, can we get a new updated happy birthday song with a little bit of stank on it instead of the basic one? Cuz we don’t want to keep repeating that pattern.
So we want to do something new. Yeah. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday.
Happy birthday. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday.
Happy birthday. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday.
Happy birthday. Happy birthday to you. Hallelujah.
