This Week's Focus · From the Office of Communications
01
Announce the EMD Building Capital Campaign (Make Room) from your platform this week.
Talking points are in the next tab.
02
Keep the two campaigns separate.
Both are $150,000 and both close December 1. If your congregation conflates them, we lose trust and gifts.
03
Push The Connect.
Ask members to accept their invitation, complete their profile, and post something. A quiet platform teaches people it is not worth opening.

Use these words. Consistency across campuses is what makes the message land. If you need a variation for your context, ask us rather than improvising.
Campaign
EMD Building Campaign (Make Room)
We grew into this building, and now we are growing out of it. Make Room is Phase I of the Embassy Metro Detroit capital campaign. It funds what must happen before construction can begin: assessments, inspections, legal, and architectural planning. The building is not the vision. It is a tool entrusted to the vision. Pledge now through December 1, fulfilled by December 1, 2026.
Campaign
Hope Shelters
60 emergency shelter beds. 15 recuperative care beds. 365 nights a year. Embassy Metro Detroit made a $150,000 commitment and that investment has already been made. This campaign restores those funds. Open now through December 1.
Identity
The Brand
Embassy grew into a multi-campus, multi-hub nation. Our identity is being formalized because we outgrew the old one. Digital assets are updated now. Physical assets follow in 2027.
Development
Office of Economic Development
The Office of Economic Development serves the growth of the nation. The first step is our Business Directory. If you own a business, tell us about it.
Community
The Connect
Accept your invitation. Complete your profile. Post something. Share what God is doing, what your ministry is up to, moments from around the house. This is our house online, and a quiet room serves no one.
Governance
Communications Advisory Council
The Council meets quarterly and is open to members from every campus and hub. If you care how this house communicates, we want you in the room.
Build-out
ECCI Comms Table
The ECCI Comms Table is coming this fall. We are building an Embassy News Team and a Press Office: reporters, writers, photographers, videographers, editors, and producers. Everything a digital news channel and a press office require. If that is your gift, come find us.
Event
Leadership Picture Day
Leadership Picture Day is Saturday, October 31. Additional details forthcoming.

Midweek
Midweek has a new look. Same rhythm, cleaner design, easier to read on your phone.
Say This Verbatim
Two separate campaigns, two separate funds. Giving to one is not giving to the other, and no one is asked to give to both.
Questions You'll Get
They Ask
You Say
Both are $150,000 — same fund?
No. Two separate campaigns, two separate funds. Hope Shelters restores what EMD already invested. Make Room funds Phase I of the EMD capital campaign.
Can I give to both?
You can, but there is no expectation that you will. Give as the Lord leads to whichever campaign He puts on your heart.
Recurring gifts?
Yes for Hope Shelters via SecureGive. Make Room is a pledge campaign; you set the total commitment and the schedule, to fulfill by December 1, 2026.
Are we buying a building?
Make Room funds Phase I — assessments, inspections, legal, architectural planning. What has to happen before construction can begin.
What about the gala?
No gala this year. The gala isn't tied to Hope Shelters or Make Room — it stands on its own when it runs. Additional ECDC giving opportunities are forthcoming; watch the Dispatch.
I didn't get a Connect invitation.
Email embassy@embassycovenant.org. Check spam first — the invite comes from a KBN-branded sender.
When does the church app launch?
Preview build is live now. Full launch is targeted for Q4 2026, in step with the digital brand rollout.

Do not alter the artwork. Add your campus or hub name in the caption, not on the graphic.
Nothing public ships outside the standard. Identity-bearing work is reviewed before release, not after.
One source of truth. Pull from the asset library, never from an old file on your desktop.
Physical rollout is batched. Never let one room carry both marks.

What it is
Cadence
Audience
The Dispatch
Embassy's main email newsletter. Goes to every member every other Tuesday. It's the biggest thing we send.
Biweekly Tuesdays
Congregation
The Brief
A monthly email sent only to leaders. You see the news about a week before the congregation does.
Monthly, first Monday
Leadership
The Connect (native post)
Embassy's private online community — like a members-only social feed. When we post there, it reaches everyone with an account.
Same day as Dispatch
Congregation
Mass text
A church-wide text message to everyone's phone. Only sent when a deadline is right up or something is genuinely urgent.
Day after Dispatch, midday
Congregation · only when a deadline is live
Midweek
A short mid-week email. It doesn't add new news — it points people back to what we already sent so they don't forget.
Weekly
Congregation · pointer link only
Monday staff meeting
The Monday morning all-staff meeting. The Comms office takes a 5-minute slot to share what's coming.
Weekly · 5-min slot
Staff
Monthly Communications Sync
A once-a-month meeting where campus pastors, hub leaders, and ministry heads sit with Comms to line up messaging.
Mid-month · 45 min
Campus pastors + hub + ministry heads
Rhythm Rule
Leadership hears everything five days before the congregation. A pastor learning something from a member is a system failure.
Campaign Asset Requests
For assets tied to the campaign at hand — Hope Shelters, Make Room, or whatever the house is currently featuring — send requests to the Office of Communications. Five business days for assets from an existing template. Ten business days for design from scratch. Rush requests will be considered but not guaranteed.
This channel is scoped to the current campaign only. It does not bypass Embassy's standing media request protocols. For broadcast, press, event coverage, or any non-campaign media need, follow the normal media request process.
