Our Values

Ten values we live by.

The character of a house is what its people carry. These are the ten values Embassy Covenant Church International teaches, forms, and celebrates in every citizen. Tap any value to read the definition, Embassy's application, and the scriptures behind it.

01

Celebration

A significant or happy day or event with a social gathering or enjoyable activity; to observe with ceremonies of respect or festivities. To praise someone or something or to say that someone or something is great or important.

Embassy's Value

We celebrate what we embrace and hold to. What we're not happy about or mourn, we won't celebrate or have a great time. Celebrate the people you want in your life. The heart celebrates what we're connected to and reflects our values. It costs to honor another.

Celebration is wonderful; celebration of the wrong things can open your spirit up to demonic forces. What we celebrate becomes demonic when we make it an idol and put it before God. The Bible tells us that God is a jealous God.

“You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God.” Exodus 20:4-5
Scripture
  • Isaiah 38:18 — life; we celebrate God
  • Psalm 115:17-18
  • Ecclesiastes 9:8-10 — live life with gusto
02

Education

In its general sense, education is a form of learning in which the knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next through teaching, training, or research. There is informal learning, formal, and non-formal learning. Informal learning occurs at home, at work, and through daily interactions and shared relationships — including language acquisition, cultural norms, and manners.

Embassy's Value

Knowledge is power; ignorance is darkness. Without knowledge you can't do what you don't know. Education is life-long learning — always growing and always listening.

Scripture
  • Matthew 11:29 — Jesus says, "Learn of me…"
  • Philippians 2:5 — "Let this mind be in you." Learning deals with the mind, in order to do.
  • 1 Peter 2:21-22 — "Leaving us an example that we should follow His footsteps."
  • Acts 7:22 — "Moses was learned in all wisdom…"
  • Psalm 119 — "that I might learn thy statutes."
  • Psalm 119:104 — "through thy precepts I get understanding."
  • Isaiah 1:17 — "learn to do well."
  • Romans 15:4 — "were written for our learning."
  • Hebrews 5:8 — "though a Son, yet learned obedience."
  • Nehemiah 7:7 — "caused people to understand law."
  • Proverbs 2:2 — "apply thy heart to understanding."
  • Proverbs 3:13 — "happy is the man that findeth wisdom and gets understanding."
03

Excellence

The state or quality of being exceptionally good. A talent or quality that is unusually good and so surpasses ordinary standards. Used as a standard of perfection.

Embassy's Value

Going beyond; leaving a place in a better condition than what we found it. Pay attention to details. It's the "little foxes that spoil the vine" — little things disrupt the whole picture. Success is the culmination of what little you do well.

Scripture
  • Ecclesiastes 2:13 — "wisdom excelleth folly."
  • Proverbs 17:27 — "a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit."
  • Daniel 5:12 — "an excellent spirit was found in him."
  • Daniel 6:3 — "Daniel was preferred… because an excellent spirit was in him."
  • Hebrews 1:4 — "Jesus has a more excellent name."
  • Hebrews 11:4 — "a more excellent sacrifice."
04

Faith

Complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Belief not based on proof. Faith is often used as a conceptual synonym for hope, trust, or belief.

Embassy's Value

How we live — faith in God and in His script.

Scripture
  • Hebrews 11:6 — "Without faith it is impossible to please God."
  • Hebrews 6:23 — It is our profession.
  • Ephesians 6:16 — It is a shield.
  • Galatians 5:6 — It is worked by love.
  • Romans 1:17 — It is how the righteous live (also Galatians 5:6 and Habakkuk 2:4).
  • Romans 10:17 — "Faith comes by hearing the Word."
  • Matthew 9:22 · Mark 5:34 · Mark 10:52 · Luke 8:48 · Luke 18:42 — Faith makes you whole.
  • Galatians 3:2 — How the Spirit is received: by faith.
05

Family

A group of people affiliated by consanguinity (blood relationship recognized at birth).

Embassy's Value

Covenant life. Relative. Connected.

Scripture
  • Ephesians 3:15 — "family in heaven and in earth is named."
  • Psalm 68:6 — "God setteth the solitary in families."
06

Fruitfulness

Conducive to productivity; causing to bear in abundance; producing good results; profitable.

Embassy's Value

All is to bring forth fruit at some level. It's an expectation here at Embassy. Unfruitful people go against the core.

Scripture
  • James 3:17 — "wisdom from above is full of good fruits."
  • Galatians 5:22 — Love, the fruit of the Spirit.
  • 2 Corinthians 9:10 — Righteousness is a fruit.
  • Proverbs 11:30 — "fruit of righteousness is a tree of life."
  • John 15:4, 5, 8
07

Governance

To control the actions or behaviors of (govern yourself); to exercise a determining influence. The way rules and actions are produced, sustained, and regulated.

Embassy's Value

Order. Delegated authority. Everything must be governed. We love authority and submit to it. Rules and laws govern an environment; if broken, things are off balance. The Kingdom is our governance. Laws are created for balance. To live in an unstable environment is hard, and the devil has a field day. We must learn how to confront everything in our lives and make sure we are stable.

Everything needs to be governed or covered for its own protection and to flourish. Everything in nature is subject to organization governed by some law God put into place. The Holy Spirit governed the early church; if a church today isn't under the governance and power of the Holy Spirit, it's under the wrong governance. He will not force us to do anything, but He will guide and govern us if we will to do so. The greatest governance is the Holy Spirit. His Kingdom will fill earth and flourish when we receive His governance in us. If we want to go higher, find a mentor to govern us — find out what they know, and be governed by them to go higher.

Scripture
  • 1 Corinthians 12:28 with 1 Timothy 5:17
  • Hebrews 13:17, 24 (rule)
  • Isaiah 9:6-7 — government is of the Lord.
08

Integrity

The quality of being honest and having moral principles. Moral uprightness. The state of being 'whole' — undivided.

Embassy's Value

Oneness. God is one with the Word. Wholeness — not divided within the self. Integrated; one with your own being.

Scripture
  • Job 2:3 — "holdeth fast his integrity."
  • Job 27:3-6 — "till I die, I will not remove my integrity from me."
  • Psalm 7:8 · Psalm 25:21
  • Proverbs 11:3
09

Justice

A concept of moral rightness based on ethics, rationality, law, religion, equity, and fairness. Justice takes into account the unalienable and inborn rights of all people and individuals to equal protection before the law without discrimination on the basis of race, sex, gender, etc.

Embassy's Value

A balancing scale. Fairness. Balance. Equitable. Everything God created exists in some kind of balance. Every human relationship has to orbit and balance, as in the universe. God hates a false balance. Everything has to be weighed when dealing justly. To weigh is to consider, assess, evaluate, scrutinize, and think about — it takes time. "Judge nothing before the time." "Judge not." Make sure you're seeing clearly. If we don't deal with things, we're going to see a person off-balance. Justice must become a value — not just for ourselves, but so we don't see everything skewed. We need to be up front with people and get our scales balanced.

Scripture
  • 2 Samuel 8:15 — "David executed justice."
  • Psalm 82:3 — "do justice to the afflicted and needy."
  • Titus 1:8 — "Bishop must be just and holy."
  • 1 John 1:9 — "God is just to forgive."
10

Service

The action of helping or doing work for someone; ready to be of help or use to someone. At one's disposal; helpful or useful.

Embassy's Value

Service is for something else — for all God created. People who are not serving are not fulfilling their purpose.

Scripture
  • 1 Chronicles 28:9
  • Matthew 20:27
  • Acts 20:19
  • Romans 1:9
  • Romans 12:1
  • Galatians 5:13
  • Philippians 1:1

We are Embassy Nation. A people. A culture. A commission.
