Our commitment
Embassy Covenant Church International is committed to ensuring digital and physical accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This site is partially conformant, meaning some content may not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working toward full conformance.
What we've built in
- Skip-to-content link on every page
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, nav, footer)
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and focus indicators
- Sufficient color contrast across the cobalt, gold, teal, and cream system
- Alt text on every image (managed via the CMS)
- ARIA labels on all icon-only controls
- Reduced-motion preferences respected for animations
- Responsive layouts across mobile, tablet, and desktop
In-person accessibility
Our flagship campus at 195 Ladd Road, Walled Lake, MI is wheelchair accessible. For specific accommodations — sign language interpretation, mobility assistance, or sensory needs — please contact the office in advance and we will prepare for your visit.

Ongoing improvement
