We stand to bear witness to the most high God, the possessor of the heavens and the earth, and to the Lord Jesus Christ, the redeemer of all mankind. His name shall be praised. From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, his name shall be praised. I can sense by the Holy Ghost that this is a season to move forward. Just when the enemy thinks you’re going to stop or back up, God chooses circumstances like that to command you to move forward.

And I just heard him in my spirit to say, tell the people to move forward in the plans that God has had for your life. Just as Moses was standing before the Red Sea and the walls and the mountains were on either side and the enemy was coming behind him and he started crying out to the Lord. The Lord said, “What you talking to me about?” He said, “Stretch forth your rod and move forward into the sea.” The Lord said, “I’ll make a way out of nowhere.” And that’s the kind of anointing that I feel in the room right now. God said, “Why you crying to me right now? You got the rod in your hand.” The authority that God has given you, he said, “In this season, if you stretch it out over the rod,” he said, he’s going to cause the waters to roll back right before you, and you’re going to get to the other side.

There’s an authority in your hand. Whatever God has put in your hand, he said, “This is the time to use it.” I feel the Holy Ghost right there. I said, God said, “Shock the devil right now.” Just when he thought you were going to sit down and wait a while, he said, “Now is the time.” We’ve entered into a chairos moment to move forward in the name of the Lord. Therefore, I declare boldness. I declare strength.

I declare hooks for gumption moxy to stand up right where you are and say I’m moving forward in Jesus’ name. I wish I had some faith in the room right now. I don’t care what’s in front of you. I don’t care what’s beside you, what’s on the left, what’s behind you, who’s chasing you. There’s an anointing to break barriers in the house.

There’s an anointing to drive a devil back in the house. But you got to be bold enough to take up your bed and walk. You got to take up your excuses and walk. You got to be bold enough to get yourself up, dust yourself off, and not put off tomorrow what you can do right now. God says he need to know in the spirit if you got a now in your heart right now.

Ah, some of you not there yet. Some of you not there yet. You don’t have a now in your heart. You’re waiting for something on the outside to give you permission.

But God said, “Don’t you sense green light in your spirit? Don’t you sense a go in your spirit? Don’t you sense a push in your spirit? Oh, then let that thing out right now. Oh yeah.

Just when it doesn’t seem like it’s the right time, God always chooses unusual seasons to open a door that no man can shut. I promise you, he said, “Stretch out your rod and move forward. Yes. Yes. And if you don’t feel the strength, you need to clap your hands right there.

If you don’t feel the strength, you need to get some joy in your spirit right now. Maybe you got to leap for joy. I don’t know how you going to get your joy back, but you don’t have to wait until tomorrow. God said now, if you wait until tomorrow, you might miss the boat. This is the day that the Lord has made.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day of salvation. And right now is the accepted time. The day you hear my voice, harden not your heart. You can’t choose when God’s going to use you.

You can’t choose when God’s going to say forward march. Yes, he keeps doing great things for me. If I had 10,000 tongues, I would praise him with everyone. Glory to his name. I’m just trying to wait for the joy to surface in somebody’s heart.

You got to know how to have joy and sorrow at the same time because it’s your joy that’ll cause you to bear the sorrow in your heart. Paul said, “Sovering yet always rejoicing, rejoice in the Lord always.” And again, I say, “Rejoice. I’m going to make my boast in the Lord because he is good. His mercy is everlasting. and his truth endureth to all generation. He is God and beside him there is no other God.

Hasn’t he not spoken? Won’t he make it good? If he said it, he’ll bring it to pass. He’s declared the end from the beginning. and he knows how to cause his counsel to stand in your life. So what shall we say to these things?

If God be for us, if God be for us. If God be for us. If God be before us, one more time. If God be for us, then who can be against us? You might as well give him that last praise right there and lift his name high. about now.

I dare you to put a smile on your face and let some of those teeth show just for a moment. Slap three people and say, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” Yes. Yes. He’ll put clapping in your hands, running in your feet. I feel my help.

Y’all said all of our help come from the Lord, didn’t you? I feel my help coming right now. Oh, I my glory to his Hey, I want you to shake somebody’s hand and say, “Welcome to Embassy Covenant.” Tell him it’s good to see you. Tell him God is still on the throne. I just heard the Lord say sneak attack. God has just launched a sneak attack against the demonic kingdom when he least thought he could move. God moves in inopportune time. When the water is flooded at the Jordan and when when the when the Red Sea is before you and when the enemy has you surrounded, God say it’s marching time. Let’s go right now.

You can’t wait for convenient seasons to do God’s will. You got to do it when God says go. And I heard the Lord say forward mine. Whatever you’ve been planning, now’s the time. Whatever you’ve been contemplating, now’s the time.

Whatever you’ve been thinking about, now’s the time. Now’s the time. Now’s the time. Now’s the time. Now’s the time.

What a lord. Glory to his name. You are my Lord, my father, my redeemer, my glory. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father.

Thank you, Father. I’m going to ask if you would turn in your Bibles to the second book of Corinthians, chapter number one. We’re just going to talk a little bit today. Isn’t the Lord good? Isn’t his presence beautiful?

Beautiful presence of the Lord. 2 Corinthians chapter number one and we’re going to begin reading at verse number three. The scripture says, “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, who comforteth us in all of our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble. by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

There are some things you’re going through that don’t have nothing to do with you. I hope you know that God is qualifying you to help somebody else. And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing that as ye are partakers of the suffering, so shall ye be also of the consolation. For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant in our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure above strength, in so much that we despise even of life.

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God, which raises the dead. who delivered us from so great a death and doeth deliver in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us. Ye also helping together by prayers for us that for this gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf. And today I want to speak to you again on the subject of manifest Yeshua. And um our focus today will be Yeshua the comforter. Let us pray.

Father, in your precious name, I ask that you would lift your people and that you would move us forward in your purpose, in your plan for your glory. I ask that there would be greater understanding that would be deposited in our hearts. What might be meant for evil in our life would become good. I pray for spiritual maturity to run rampant in this congregation. Woo!

I pray for the plum line and standards to be all around us. I command your blessing on these your precious people, those watching by live stream, everyone that will watch this message in the future in Jesus name. Amen.

Today we will possibly conclude this series. Have to put that disclaimer out there just in case I go home and the Holy Ghost says something. But from as far as I can see, we’ll probably conclude this series after today’s message. We’ve said quite a bit on the subject and it is my hope that you would continue to listen until this becomes a part of your life because we don’t move from series to series just for the sake of preaching and having a moment.

But God is God’s intent, ultimate intent is to shape us and to create a culture in our lives that reflect the word that has been preached. And so it is my hope that we all would make a commitment. Everybody say make a commitment. To manifest Yeshua in our daily lives. That’s the major point here.

Be reminded that the manifestation of Yeshua is the revelation and the demonstration of his person in this life. And anywhere he is revealed through a believer, we’ve learned already that at least three things will take place. Number one, we will see the kingdom of God advanced. You cannot manifest Yeshua without advancing God’s agenda in the earth.

And so all who want to see his agenda advance must commit to his manifestation. Number two, he will be seen and uh there will be infallible proof that he is not only alive but he is Lord. And finally, number three, the works of the devil will be foiled in our life.

And so just those three things that we’ve discussed for several months now, I pray would motivate us to make this commitment. Uh the scriptures are very clear that he says upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. That simply means that whatever he is concocting in his counsel against you, against me, against your family, all it takes is manifestation to spoil his plan.

Amen. For every encroachment, for every demonic encroachment in your life, there must be a corresponding equal manifestation of Christ in order to nullify and decimate his plan. Somebody shout, “I’m not playing. I’m not playing.” We we cannot simply allow the enemy to smack you or smack me and I don’t smack him back. We just can’t live like that.

We just can’t live like that. And neither can we return evil for evil. Yeah. See, some people are into uh uh remaining docile and allowing things to happen to them without responding. That’s a no no.

And then there are others who respond but they respond in the flesh and they only exacerbate evil in the world. But there must be a group of people who have committed themselves to manifest Yeshua. Say it with me. Manifest Yeshua in order to dismantle what was coming our direction. The entire objective or premise behind salvation uh has always been to restore the image of God back to man.

In Adam, the image of God was marred because of his disobedience. But in Christ Jesus, that image of God is meant to be restored. And when the image is restored in us, then we become his agents in the earth, we become his representatives in the earth who can manifest Yeshua and uh uh uh cause his agenda to come to pass.

And so we have to allow God to restore his image so we can manifest Yeshua. The truth is, ladies and gentlemen, the only way that Yeshua can be manifested in our lives is when uh his image is restored in us. So, if you got a salvation that does not sanctify you, or if you’re in a church that doesn’t push sanctification, justification, glorification, transformation, repentance, inner healing, deliverance, counseling, and everything else that’s gonna change us. If you if you’re in a church that that does not promote those things, then you don’t have the one faith that was given to the saints. You’re involved in something that’s not real Christianity.

True Christianity is about transformation. Amen. We are not a social club. We are not here just to have fun in church and sing lullabies to God, but we are here to have the image of God restored inside of us so that we can represent him in the earth. It’s not just about going to heaven.

It’s about bringing heaven in my heart. I want you to look at the scripture. It says it in Romans chapter number eight. put it on the screen. And verse number 29, what does it say? Read with me.

It says, “For whom he did forno, he also did predestinate to be conformed into the image of his son that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” And so the whole ideal is to become Jesus. Yes. Then we can say greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. Then we can walk in the power that we read about.

But God is forming the image so we can manifest Yeshua. And many of you have been in this process a long time. Who’s been in this process a long time? And the image of God is forming inside of some of us. And the more form you get, the stronger your testimony is and the more the enemy fears you.

Amen. He’ll say, “Paul, I know.” And then he’ll call your name, too. I know you. Whoever got the image terrifies the devil. I said, “Whoever has the image will put the devil to flight.” You don’t have to scream when you have the image.

You don’t have to do anything. All you need to do is show up and they say, “There go one of the reps from heaven in the earth realm. It must be Jesus. I don’t know if it’s Jesus or Leonard.” I don’t know who it is, but if it’s the image of God, demons will flee from you. I just want to declare grace to be conformed into his image.

Who want that grace on your life now? I just want to declare grace to be conformed into his image. Grace to be sanctified. Grace to be glorified. grace to be delivered and set free and healed and become the image of God in the earth so that satanic power will be dismantled when he comes against my family. So that the agenda of God will move forward so that the world will know Jesus is not only Lord but he is alive.

I want to see Satan under my foot because of the power of God on our life. Have we got a witness in the house right there? Is there anybody that want to tread upon scorpions and serpents? You have to have his image formed in you. And it takes time.

You got to give up some things. And you have to want this. This must be your agenda in your faith. Those other churches that make your pursuit something about you, you getting a car, a house, you getting the things you want, that’s the wrong message. That’s the wrong church.

Your destiny is not a place. Your destiny is a person. Are you hearing me? Your destiny is not things. Your destiny is to be conformed into the image of his dear son.

If you got any other target, you got the wrong target. Are you hearing me? Yes, that stuff will come.

But the target is to be like Jesus. To be the Christ in the earth. And for this reason we cry, manifest Yeshua in us.

Today’s message is going to focus on manifesting him as the comforter. Yeshua the comforter. And I’m going to make three points from this second book of Corinthians, chapter number one that I need you to uh hold on to. It helps us unpack this thought. The first point we have to talk about suffering today.

Don’t shout me down. Secondly, we must talk about comfort. And thirdly, deliverance prayers. I want to talk about deliverance prayers. The Apostle Paul is deeply concerned.

This is the context here. He’s deeply concerned uh with the Corinthian church. And mind you, he is the founder of this ministry, but is concerned because he has strained relationships with them. They were questioning his apostilicity and his right to govern them spiritually. And they also were uh a carnal group.

They were gifted but carnal. That sounds familiar. Gifted but carnal. They were gifted but carnal. And uh they they they argued over who was leading them.

Some say they were of Paul. Some say they were of Apollos. Some say they were of Cphus or Peter.

And so, so Paul said they’re carnal. Um, he wrote the first book. You might remember first Corinthians. Have you read it before? He wrote the first book to straighten them out.

He rebuked them severely in that first book. And now he’s a little skittish. He’s a little nervous, reticent, uh, about their state. He doesn’t know whether they they they went to another church. He don’t know whether they left him or not.

He really don’t he don’t have a clue. He’s he’s concerned cuz the relationship is strained. He don’t know if the medicine took or not. It’s almost like a doctor who gave medicine to a patient and you want to come back and see are they better. So the second book of Corinthians, he’s actually coming back to assess the Corinthians to see if they’re in a better place. and plus he wants to teach him a few things.

And so he doesn’t start the book out, and this is what I want you to see. He does not start the book out um where he left off at. He’s not talking about those things, the bickering that was happening in the church. He starts out uh differently. He he begins this book talking about uh the God Yahweh the father of mercies.

He comes from a different place and then he talks about Yahweh the God of all comfort and and and so he doesn’t pick up uh where he left off at and he does that for a reason. Um that there there are some things that are priority and should be mentioned first in life and the priority here was what they were currently facing. And the Corinthians were now under persecution. Everybody say persecution. And it’s something amazing and astonishing about persecution that can cause people to forget about their trivial matters.

It’s amazing how trouble and persecution can lift people out of the pit of of of of pettiness and bring them to the mountaintop of sheared shared concern. And this is what has happened to this church. They’re no longer concerned about who’s of Paul, who’s of Apollos. They’re one they’re trying to stay alive right now. They’ve got the enemy pursuing them and and when you when you uh experience trouble in your life, uh you’re able to put things in perspective differently.

And some things that used to matter don’t even matter right now. I I know some individuals that have suffered some terrible things. And that is my first point and we’re going to get to it. but suffer some terrible things and they find it very hard to invest in petty things. They they they just can’t give their heart over to fighting over things that don’t amount to a heel of beings as they say. as anybody in that space in your life where you’ve been too through too much to deal with stuff down at that level. I I can’t come down there and debate with you about that because in the larger scheme of things is not going to matter anyway.

All you need is some good trouble in your life to cause you to elevate out of the pit of pettiness. Find yourself on the mountain of shared concerns. And this is what is happening to the Corinthian church. They are now on the mountain of shared concerns because their life is in jeopardy. And this is what happens to people when they go through sufferings.

So sufferings have a good intent. Really, all you have to do is stay married long enough, too. I’ve been married a long time. My wife and I, we’ve been married a real long time. About 42 years, I think it is.

We were talking about the other day. And the stuff we used to bicker about back in year five and six and seven. Right now, I’ll be like, she be like, “You said this, you said that.” I’ll be like, “All right, it really don’t matter right now. I don’t even care. Uh I we are not going to debate over that because that ain’t going to change nothing in our life.

You got to get to a place where you know how to put stuff in perspective. And all you need to do is be around a long time or to suffer. And you know what I heard the Holy Ghost say? The Holy Ghost said, “You are either going to grow out of pettiness or God’s going to allow a suffering to hit you to cause you to be lifted out of pettiness.” One way or another, God says he’s about to lift his church out of petty things. Are you guys not with that one?

Well, that’s what he did to the Corinthian church. The whole book was about pettiness, the first letter, but the second book, he didn’t even have to bring the stuff up because they had been brought out of it through shared sufferings and shared concerns. One of the benefits of suffering, it lifts you out of pettiness. So I just want to declare grace right now to come out of pettiness in the name of the Lord. Look at somebody and say, “We getting out of pettiness.” Amen.

Well, I know you may not be the person, but you you know, I don’t know who it is, but but whoever it is, just say, “God’s going to bring the whole church out of pettiness.” not only the church, he’s going to bring communities out of pettiness because common suffering creates shared concerns. And one of the challenges with the African-American community has been pettiness. But God’s about to allow common suffering to create shared concerns to cause us to pull our pull all of us out. And not just America, black African-American communities, but also the United States of America. We believe common suffering is able to unify this nation and put us on the same page.

And so I’m declaring unity in the house in the name of the Lord by the grace of God either by where personal growth or common suffering. And I prefer personal growth. You got to put your beard in. Which one you want? personal growth or common shared suffering. Which one is it?

One of the two is going to lift us out of fighting over things that don’t weigh on the scale of what’s important in the larger scheme of things. And so suffering has its purpose. Say it with me. Suffering has its purpose. I’ve just given you one reason why God permits the church uh to go through suffering.

One reason. One reason. And now I want to talk about it from a different perspective. Uh suffering also has a way of binding people together. We talked about it creates unity.

It really does. Um, but Paul here is talking about the sufferings of Christ. And that’s what I want you to see. Verse number three, put it on the screen. What does it say?

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy, and the God of all comfort, who comforted us in all of our tribulation. And we’re going to read a little more of that in just a moment. But I need you to know that there there are what the Bible calls the sufferings of Christ. Uh there there are three kinds of sufferings in the world. There there’s the sufferings of Christ which I’m going to talk about.

Then there are just sufferings just for being on the earth. You know there there there’s a temptation that is common to man. Everybody is going to experience a level of suffering because we’re on the planet.

But then there are sufferings that we bring on ourselves. That’s when I messed up and something happened. And and so I’m not concerned about the sufferings we bring on ourselves. That stuff you just have to bear, right? And neither am I concerned about the sufferings that is common to man.

God will with those sufferings make a way of escape. But I’m concerned in today’s message about the sufferings of Christ. And they are allocated portions of his sufferings that were intended for him, but he shared them with his people. for the purpose of relationship and revelation in him and bonding. There’s nothing like suffering that bonds you to people. I promise you.

Let me give you an example. Uh these sufferings were intended for him. Uh Pastor in uh Battle Creek pastoring Emanuel Covenant Church um was our successor many years ago. And I’m I’m particularly uh fond of him and connected to him in a in in a kind of an intimate way. Uh not just because I’ve known him for years, but because he took some sufferings that was meant for me.

He shared in the sufferings when when God told us to uh transition out of the creek and come up here. Uh everybody wasn’t happy and um the anger, the hurt, rightfully the hurt and the pain that people experienced, they took it out on him. And it wasn’t I I used to tell him I say, “Man, that’s not really meant for you. They can’t get to me.” And so they have to take it out on you. So I knew he was partaking of my sufferings.

I knew he was. I knew he was. And there are some people around here. You get too close to me, you might catch some of that, too. You might.

People have a tendency. Well, well, all of us we get it from God. I mean, there’s some people who hate God, but that you can’t hit God.

So, they take it out on the church. They take it out on the minister. These are called, everybody say, the sufferings of Christ. Certain things that he went through. In order to really get to know him, we have to identify with that suffering.

He was rejected. And then he allows a portion of rejection to be in your life. He was abandoned. So he permits abandonment to hit your life. Did you hear me?

He was hated by people without a cause. So he allowed some of that to hit your life. He felt like he was forsaken by people. And yet some of that has to hit your life. everything he experienced at somewhere in some portion of our life, he he divvies out the allotment of suffering to believers. And if we’re willing to embrace that and say, “I’m identifying with Christ and embrace that suffering, uh, then he will come and reward us for the sufferings for his name’s sake.” Now, I promise you this is not suffering because you didn’t pay the bill and the lights was turned off.

And don’t don’t say you suffering for the Lord. You suffering because you didn’t pay the bill and the lights was turned off. And so that is not the Lord. And and don’t say you’re suffering for the Lord when it’s just something that an unsaved person can go through. My point is these are the servants of the Lord that unsaved people don’t experience.

Did you hear what I said? When you came into the kingdom, there were some sufferings added to your name. You didn’t that didn’t you didn’t hear that priest when you that didn’t bring you in the kingdom, did it? No. It’s the truth.

When you came into the kingdom, God allotted certain sufferings for every believer because you have to partake of the suffering. in order to reign with him, he said you’re going to have to suffer with him. And if you reject the suffering, then you reject the rain. If you reject the suffering, you reject the intimacy that you want with him. If you reject the suffering, you reject the revelations that come with those sufferings. The only way to really get to know Christ, not the only way, but one of the major ways to get to know Christ is to partake of his suffering.

Somebody say sufferings. He told his disciples when they were talking about who’s going to be on either side of him, he said, “Can you drink from the cup that I drink from?” He didn’t even let him answer. He said, “You’re going to drink from it, though, by the way. You’re going to drink from it, this cup.” And so so so you many of you in here are going through some things and you think it’s the devil and some of it could be but a lot of it are allotted sufferings ordained by God to put you in a place of revelation and understanding of him so that you can also experience his reward and experience a closeness with him that prayer can’t give you a closeness with him that study can’t give you. Once you’ve suffered with him, you’re bonded in a way that nothing else can make happen.

Now, I don’t know if you want that kind of relationship with him or not, but Paul said, and I want you to see it. Philippians chapter number three, verse number 10. What does Paul say? that I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings being made conformable unto his death. In other words, he literally died, but I have to have some stuff to make me feel like I died. In order for me to identify with his death, every now and then, I need a season to make me feel like I’m dead.

And if I fellowship with him at that level, great revelation, great power, great anointing. You want the anointing? You got to identify with everything that Christ is. There’s a portion that belongs to you. And if you keep taking your portion and putting it over to your neighbor and taking that portion and giving it to somebody else, you’ll never know resurrection power.

You’ll never know the anointing that you are called to walk in. You’ll never walk in the authority. But I believe that there are some believers in this room right now that know that you got to manifest Yeshua and you need to walk in this authority. You got too many sick people in the room. You got too many people struggling with stuff in your family.

You got too much mess in the world. We need more power. We need the power is here, but we need to manifest more power. And the only way to do it is to identify with him in all points. And I made a decision.

I want to know him. I’m like Paul. I want to know him in the power of his resurrection, but I can’t know him in the power of his resurrection without first knowing him in the fellowship of his sufferings. I got to die before he raised me. I got to go down before he lifts me up.

I got to bear a cross before I wear a crown. I cannot know the rain without knowing the suffering. And this is grown-up church stuff. This will make a little kid run out to church right here cuz somebody promised you some lies that there will be no suffering in your Christian journey.

But it’s a part of your inheritance. You you inherit suffering. It’s a part of the covenant. So quit saying, “God, why you let me go through this?” He’s saying, “I’m trying to fellowship with you, son. I want you to walk in glory.

I want you to be like me.” There are some sufferings that come from God. Now, I know I know you’re not going to shout me down on this one, but you can’t deny them in the book, can you? You can’t deny the truth. The truth is right there, right before our eyes. And we’ve been wondering what’s missing from the church.

What is it? Why I don’t feel that? Why I don’t feel that? Why I don’t feel that power? Why don’t I feel close to him? because I’ve neglected the diet that he’s given me for my life.

I’ve eaten everything but the sufferings. And there are sufferings that the people in the world will not experience. They’re only for the believer. This is why the devil will tell you if you leave God, you don’t have to worry about those sufferings. He’s telling the truth.

Once you leave God, you will not suffer for his name’s sake. So, it’s your choice what you want to do. Push back the plate or drink from this cup. Acts chapter 5 and 4:40. Acts 5 and 40.

What does he say? Read everybody. And to him they agreed. And when they had called the apostles and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus. Then they let them go.

Verse 41. And they departed from the presence of the council, doing what? Rejoicing. Why? That they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

Oh, they had an understanding of something, didn’t they? They understood that if I suffer with him, then I’m going to reign with him. That I’m going to get that understanding. We going to be bonded at the hip. They understood.

They said, “I’m counted worthy to bear his name. I’m counted worthy to identify with him. Why call him Lord, Lord, if we don’t do what he tell us to do? Why praise his name if I’m not willing to suffer for his name’s sake? Well, how do I how do I say I love him if I don’t want to identify with him?

I’m calling on another level church people who really want to see this thing the way is written in the book. Another level group, another level church people who’s willing to suffer. He won’t allow you to be tempted above what you are able to bear. He proportionately put these sufferings together and they fit your life and it’s the very thing you need to become the person that he’s ordained for you to be. So quit saying I can’t handle it.

He says my grace is sufficient for you and my strength is perfect in weakness. So no Paul I ain’t taking away the thorn from your life. Ask me twice. Ask me three times. Ask me four times.

It’s your portion, baby. And it’s what keeps the revelation on your life and keeps you walking in power and keeps you witness for me the way I ordain. And it’s the same thing for us. It takes some of that stuff to keep you on your knees.

Come on, somebody. It takes some of that stuff to keep you humble before God. Now, let’s see if we can give God a praise for suffering. I promise you this is understanding and all thy getting get an underanding. The disciples mind says we’re totally different.

And so there is a reward, Holy Ghost said, coming for all of those who have mourned in Zion. There’s a there was a reward. The Lord told me that. He says, “We’re in a season where those who have suffered for my name’s sake, I’m going to put honor on them. This is why the disciples understood that that that they were counted worthy to suffer because they know if you do it, honor follows that kind of suffering.

And God is going to put some honor on people’s lives who have truly suffered for his name’s sake. And that simply means God says, “No, I want it this way.” And you just going to take a low road today, son, because this is what I’m trying to do. And we not going to get there with you acting like you acting. So you just got to take the low road and I’ll straighten you out later. I’ll give you a blessing later, but just hold you.

Just just keep your head down and keep walking. That’s how the Lord deals with me all the time. Just shut up, son. Just keep on doing what I told you to do. And I I’ll pay you in the end or I’ll pay you in midway.

But the bottom line, he told me that honor is getting ready to hit the house. Honor’s coming on those who have suffered for his name’s sake. I declare honor. I declare the honor of God. I said, I declare God putting value on your life.

God showing people that you are his. He let them laugh at you. He let them mock you. He watched you go through. You suffered for his name’s sake.

You hurt. You bled. You cried. You didn’t expose people that you could have exposed. You didn’t tear nobody down.

You could have ripped them apart. You shut your mouth. And now God says, “Now I’m going to reward you because you did it my way. Now I’m going to put honor on your life and let everybody see that you belong to me and we are like this bonded together. You’re my boy.

Yeah. And I’m going to let the world know I feel the Holy Ghost in this room. I said I feel the Holy Ghost in this room. I don’t know if everybody can swallow this message. Is this too much for some of y’all?

Do y’all want some kind of cheap gospel that don’t tell the truth? Or do you want to really hear the word of the Lord? This is this is the meat and potatoes of the gospel. This is what’ll keep you in the midnight hour when you know you’re suffering for his name’s sake.

But after suffering comes honor for your pain. It’s the truth. The honor begins with the message of comfort. After you read Isaiah is uh the book of Isaiah is divided into two books. The first part is all about judgments and all about uh uh correction.

But the last half of the book is all about comfort. Read the book of Isaiah. And he starts it out with comfort ye my people. Comfort ye my people. And when you hear the word comforting, this is what he’s talking about in the text.

Let’s read it again. Go back to the text. Verse number four. What does it say? Read everybody.

Who comforted us in? So, so he’s going to comfort us in all of our tribulation that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are. So what God does to those that suffer for his name’s sake is he comes first to comfort them. This is the honor. It begin he begins the honor with comfort.

Now understand comfort is not a pillow. Just in case you thought it was that thing you got on your bed that made you know that UV all bundled up like this. He not talking about that. Comfort is not a pillow. It’s not something soft. is not sedated emotions.

It’s not you checking out. Comfort has everything to do with his presence, with support, with truth and supply. Let me explain. Comfort is the internal security and safety that a person feels when God is all around them. I repeat, comfort is the internal security and safety that a person feels when God is all around them.

When he says he’s coming to comfort us, he’s coming to put a wall around us so that we can feel safe. It doesn’t matter what’s happening on the outside. When God puts a wall around us, we can be safe in the midst of difficulties because God is a fire around us. The ethmology of the word comfort come with fort fortress. It simply means building a fort around people around something.

If the walls are built around the city, the city is protected. And so God always builds a wall. Everybody say a wall around his people. Look at it. Zechariah chapter number two verse 4.

Put it on the screen. Zechariah 2 and 4. Read everybody. What does it say? Four.

I saith the Lord. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Zechariah chapter 2 verse 4. Oh, my Zechariah 2 and4 said something different. For I, sayeth the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

Oh, that’s five. You trying to say, I messed it up then, huh? Well, we’re going to have to check that and see. Let’s read it again, everybody. Come on.

I guess there he’s right. Okay, let’s go. Come on. Read. For I said, the Lord will be unto her what?

A wall of fire roundabout, and will be the So if God, he’s talking about Jerusalem. So if God wants to protect you, what is he going to be? Say it. A wall of fire where? Around someone that they can feel a sense of safety.

And there’s a reason we need to feel safe. I’m almost there. of Psalms 34 and7. Let’s see if I get this one right. All right. Come on.

And the angel of the Lord does what? Encamp around about them that fear him and deliver him. So God not only says he’ll be a fire around you when he comes to comfort, but he also sends his angels. And what do they do? They set up camp all around you.

All around you. They set up camp all around you so that they can protect you. So they can give direction and support. So they can provide supply and stabilize. And their very presence is there to give you a sense of safety.

God and the angels. And number three, God raises up people who have been comforted, who have suffered and experienced the comfort. Then he will assign them to your team when you’re in trouble to be a wall around you. And this is what Satan complained about when he went to heaven. He said, “Listen, I can’t get to Job because you put a hedge around him.

I cannot get to him. If you put down the hedge, I can go in there and tempt him. And so, there are some things when God comes to comfort you, the devil can’t get to you. You might be in the midst of your storm, in the midst of difficulty. And if God says it’s time to comfort you, he says a wall of fire goes around you right now.

And he says, “Angels come. I need you all to be a wall around them.” Then he’ll sign anointed people to be around you so you can feel secure. And when you’re secure, you produce the things that God has intended for you to bring forth. I promise you, the greatest times of production is when you got safety in your heart. You become productive.

Your personhood comes forth untainted by fear. Too many people have released their personhood tainted by fear of people around them, tainted by the threat of what might happen to them. They think they know their personality, but they don’t. Their personality is mixed with self-p protection, mixed with fear of what might go wrong. Many people have never seen who they are until you’re at a place of complete rest and a place of complete safety.

Do you know what would come out of you if you experienced this rest and this safety that I’m talking about? Your real person would come out untainted by any external force and your productivity will be at an all-time high. And the Lord told me that’s the season this house is entering into right now. It’s a season to comfort the people. He told me he says I’m going to be a wall of fire around you.

Angels are going to be all around you and people will be around you so that you can come forth without fear, without without your nervous mindset, without your defensive mode, and without all that stuff that you learned in the seventh grade when you got jumped and without that stuff that you learned when you was smoking dope and all that stuff that affected your personality. That’s why you’re not strong as you could be cuz you got too much corruption in who you really are. God says, “I’m about to bring the real you on the scene because you’re going to be so relaxed and so at peace that you’re going to break out on the scene and move the kingdom agenda forward.” Somebody say, “I’m about to come out. I’m about to break out.” Say it again. I You getting ready to see the real me?

You going to have to in reintroduce yourself to your husband. Reintroduce yourself to your wife. They only know that crabby you. They only know that compromise you. They don’t know the real you.

You getting ready to come forth in a way. All you need is God to be a wall of fire around you and angels to be around you and God to comfort you. So I declare productivity in somebody’s life right now. I declare a season of fruitfulness in someone’s life right now. You waiting for something to happen on the outside.

You got the goods inside of you. You waiting on somebody to open a door. You a door yourself. You waiting on somebody to give you a platform. You are your own throne.

Don’t you understand that? You waiting on something to happen. God says all the goods are on the inside. You’re just afraid to let them out.

But I’m getting ready to heal you in such a way where that stuff is coming out of you. Oh, I feel the Holy Ghost in the house. Is there anybody identifying with this? This comes to those who have suffered with him. Then he cries, “It’s time to comfort them.” And that’s what causes their real person to come out.

Satan can’t get to you. Your authentic self is about to be released and not your adaptive self. There’s the authentic self and the adaptive self.

And some have only met the adaptive self, the one that had to adapt to everything you experienced in life. But the authentic self is the one that that makes things happen. When you pray with the authentic self, your prayers will be heard. That adaptive self person. I’ll talk about it in just a moment, but let me just declare a season of productivity.

Can you do that? Declare that over your life. Declare a season of comfort. Come on. A season of comfort.

A season of productivity. Come on, stand up right here, son. Stand up right here. Stand up right here. Come.

I need five guys. Get around him right now. Come on. Get around this man right now in the name of the Lord. Five guys.

Make a circle around him. Come on, guys. Move faster. Move faster. I’m on the clock.

Move faster. You got a circle around this guy. That’s the wall of fire around him. Not only is it a wall of fire around him, it’s also designated soldiers who are here to protect you, who are here to teach you, who are here to supply for your need and who are here to stabilize you. And they’re also represent angels that are all around you.

So if you can get rid of your fear of anything, you will reveal yourself on a high level. And I’m declaring this is a representation of what God wants to do in everybody’s life. This is the day that God is putting a wall of fire around the people of God. God is going to assign you to somebody’s life and say you are part of their wall until they get free. You’re going to stay with them until they unfold their eternal purpose.

Guys, pray for him right now cuz God’s about to loose him on another level in the name of the Lord. We declare that this young man is getting ready to take a quantum leap forward in his faith and in his mind. He’s going to meet the right girl at the right time. He’s not going to mess up with no knucklehead girl to take him off of his course, but he’s going to move straight ahead. He going to be focused like his daddy and creative like his mother.

I declare the two are intersecting in him right now. And there’s a miracle happening in his mind in the name of the Lord. And we going to stay with him until he lose all his fears in Jesus mighty name. Somebody clap those hands and let’s give the Lord a praise for heaven. Glory to his name.

All right, gentlemen. Y’all good. Somebody shout, “Cover me. Cover me. Cover me.

Cover me.” That’s the prayer. Say it again. Cover me. Cover me. You got to ask the Lord, “Circle me.

Say, surround me.” It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by you. It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by you, oh God. Somebody say, “Amen.” They see the devil, but I see angels. They see what’s coming against me, but I know God is a wall of fire around me. I’m surrounded by you.

I’m almost done. I’m almost done. Somebody shout, “Cover me. Cover me. Cover me.” Look at somebody else and say, “I got you covered.” You want to see wealth hit the house, tell somebody, “I got you covered.” That’s what it’s about.

Only reason why they haven’t broke out on the left and the right is they scared. That’s the truth of the matter. Do you know how many people live in fear to be their authentic self, to say what’s really on their mind? And here’s the challenge in my closing. Feel like a Baptist preacher when I say that.

Say, “Here’s the challenge in my closing.” No, really. The challenge is God being a wall around us or us creating what I call trauma walls. You see what happens is when a person experiences a threat in their life, the amygdala, which is the brain falcony that is fear centered or it it’s a it’s an alarm that sends signals because of a threat. The amygdala becomes overactive. And initially it’s the way it’s supposed to be.

If there’s really a threat, the amigdal has to say there’s a threat out there. And then it releases uh message to the nervous system to cause adrenaline to begin to flow in the body and then the prefrontal cortex in the brain, which is the reasoning center, becomes suppressed. So you can’t think about it. This is what caused the firemen to run in the fire and pull somebody out because they had to. They didn’t have to think about it.

They had to. Adrenaline drove them in the fire. This is why some people are able to pick up heavy objects because it was crushing someone on the spot. The threat was real and God built this kind of reaction in us so we can handle real threats. There’s nothing wrong with that.

But the challenge is to those who have unresolved trauma is that the amygdala thinks things that are things that are not threats, they still call them threats. Somebody might just be disagreeing with you. Somebody might just be talking to you and raise their voice a little bit cuz they highrung. Somebody might just do something, but they don’t mean no harm.

But if your amydala says threat, adrenaline fills your body and all of a sudden your sense of reasoning is suppressed and now your trauma responding to this situation, overreacting. and you didn’t picked up a chair and threw it at the person. And in the moment, it seemed reasonable, but you didn’t have any reason, you see. And everybody’s saying, “Why you overreacting?” Because somehow you connected the present situation with the past memory that was not yet healed. And it justified your response in your mind until you get home and think about it and your reason comes back. You say that was a little over the top.

Individuals who are suffering from unresolved trauma respond in an over with an overactive amydala and and self- sabotaging their worlds because of their disproportionate response to challenges in their life. But God said, what did he say? Before I tell you what the Lord said, trauma response is either uh through uh fight back. Sometimes they fight back, you know, it’s fight back, smack them in the mouth in that moment, fight back or they they they flight, fight or flight. They’ll run.

And and what I mean by run is they they practice avoidance. They don’t want to talk about it. They nobody can’t get in touch. They nobody can’t get in touch with them. They start isolating.

That’s a trauma response. Are you hearing me? If you fight back, put too much aggression. That’s a trauma response. Or they freeze.

If they freeze, they go numb. They just don’t feel nothing. They don’t know what’s going. They don’t feel don’t nothing bother them. They don’t care.

They dead while they’re living. Or they fawn. And the word fawn means they plate or they they they they they try to be accepted. They they they fawn over people uh because they want to be accepted. They do one of the four Fs in order to get through this thing.

And it these are trauma responses and they that is not your personality. That’s not who you are. You don’t feel safe. You feel threatened all the time. and this other person keeps showing up in self-p protection justifying this behavior because you’re saying it’s a threat when really it’s not a threat at all.

Now, what we need to do here is we got to get healed. Somebody say we got to get healed. We got to get healed. So God says we going to put a wall of fire around you. That’s what we going to do.

And we’re going to put some angels around you. And not only that, we going to put some people around you so that you can feel safe because you can’t heal trauma until somebody enters into a safe place. You can’t heal trauma in a battlefield. You got to find a safe place. And you can’t leave your house all the time.

And you can’t walk away from people all the time. Sometimes you just got to lift your hands to God and say, “Put a wall of fire around me in the midst of my trouble. Make me safe right now so I can heal. Are you all still out there? Play soft, please.

Son, you play soft now. Hurry up. Come on. There you go. Somebody say trauma response.

Trauma response. But Paul opens this letter up talking about Yahweh, the merciful God and Yahweh, the God of all comfort, who wants to put a fort around you because it’s his way of honoring you to bring you forth to fulfill his purpose. The Lord told me this is that season or he’s the God of all comfort. Verse number four, let’s read it again. Read with me as we continue to play softly.

Who comforted us in all of our tribulation that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble. Once you go through, you know how to be on somebody’s team. You know how by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are. What he did for me, I can provide for someone else. Next verse.

For as the sufferings of Christ, notice the word, abound in us. These are his sufferings. They do what? abound in us. So also what is consolation? The comfort.

He gives proportional comfort with the sufferings. This is part of the life of a believer. I promise you.

But you have to distinguish between these sufferings of Christ versus our mess ups. Now come on. Got too many believers tell I’m suffering for the Lord. That ain’t the Lord. Next slide.

And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in enduring the same suffering which we also suffer. Whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. The Corinthian church was suffering. He went to them with that message as opposed to dealing with the petty stuff that was beneath it because this is what they really needed. They had already overcome because of the pain.

Next slide. And our hope is, our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that as ye are partakers of, so shall ye be also the consolation. Now, keep that verse up. I’m going to hit it in just a minute. No, no, go back to eight.

I’m going to hit it in just a minute. I just want you to lift your hands for a moment. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father. God wants to heal trauma.

Glory to his name. So that we can manifest Yeshua. Thank you, Father. There’s a healing moment coming in this house. I’m going to show you just a minute how trauma is heal going to heal.

But but it starts with safety. It starts with safety. So I need you to pray, Lord, make me safe. And that means you have to be so surrounded that on the inside you feel safe. On the inside, you could spend your whole life not knowing what safety on the inside even feels like.

You can live an entire life feeling like you’re under a threat and it has marred your personality. All right, let me finish these verses. Paul gives an example. Verse eight, he says, “For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia that we were what?” He said, “I was pressed out of measure.” It was beyond what I thought I could handle. was above strength in so much that we despared even like I didn’t think I was going to live. He really thought he was going to die.

Could have been in uh when he was stoned and left for dead. It could have been a number of his experiences. But guess what? All of those sufferings were allotted to him. That’s what I need you to see.

They were his. Next slide. Next verse.

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves. In other words, I thought I was going to die. But I learned that we should not trust in ourselves, but in trust in God who will raise the dead. That’s where Paul was at on that last trial. Next, who delivered us from so great a death.

But guess what? God did what? Say, God delivered him. Say it again. God delivered him.

Whatever it was, it was terrible. He doesn’t mention it in this text, but God delivered him from it. And he said, “And does deliver.” He still delivered me in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us. Keep reading.

Now, this part I want you to see. He said, “Ye also helping.” He said, “Part of the reason why I think I got delivered is because you all were around me praying. I had God circling me. I had angels and I had you all ye also helping together by praying for us that the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons. A whole lot of y’all praying thanks be thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

So I need you to see that uh when when when you’re going through don’t be afraid to ask a lot of people to pray for you. Because guess what? Prayer by the right people can deliver you out of situations. Did you hear what I said? Deliverance is not just casting devils out.

Sometimes there’s situational deliverance. Paul was in a situation that he needed to be delivered from. And God told me to tell you that he’s going to do some situational deliverances in this ministry. Some of you have been in an issue for a long time. been in a situation for a long time and it’s been beating you down and we’re going to get some people praying for you to deliver you out of that situation. Here it really is.

If you’re suffering for the Lord, God has a clock on suffering. And when God says it’s time up, we need to pray to get them out of that situation. And I heard that the clock has rung on somebody’s suffering. Somebody’s been suffering a long time. And God says enough is enough.

And though all you got to do is pray and he’ll deliver you out of that situation that you’ve been in for a long time. I wish somebody would believe God for that. I heard the Holy Ghost say situational deliverance is hitting this house in the name of the Lord. Some of you have suffered long enough in that situation. God says the clock has ticked.

It’s time to come out. It’s time to move forward. So we got to pray to get you out of that. We got to pray. The more people you get to pray, the more you’re going to come out on time.

Some of you been in it too long. Like a baby in the womb that’s been there for 10 months. You can’t stay another day in that situation. You got to get out of it. Pray for me.

Pray me out of this situation like Paul said. Oh, clap your hands all ye people and shout unto God. Shout unto God. If you’ve been in a situation too long and you need God to get you out of it, I don’t know who I’m preaching to right now, but there are some people out here that have been there too long. You know it’s time to come out.

You volunteered for the suffering. You paid your dues. You paid the price. You were quiet. You did everything God said to do.

But now it’s time to come out of that situation. So you got to holler, “God, get me out of here.” SOS, SOS, get me out now. S O S come and get me. I’m Smith. I’ve been down here for a long time.

May the spirit of situational deliverance hit your life in the name of the Lord. Everybody on your feet right there. Put the final slide up concerning healing trauma. I’m going to run through seven steps really quick while you’re standing.

So, you need to take pictures cuz I’m not going to stay long. First step to healing trauma, recognition. Bring the wound into the light. What happens? The principle.

What is hidden cannot be healed. Practical. Name the event. Name the impact. Name the emotion.

Scripture. When I kept silent, my bones waxed over. I acknowledge my sin unto thee. This breaks denial and initiates healing. Step one, recognition.

Step two, reestablish internal security. That’s what we spent the whole message talking about. The person reconnects with God’s presence as a safe place. Next slide. Expression.

Release the pain properly. The person expresses grief, anger, and confusion. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Unexpressed pain becomes internal pressure.

Some people are about to burst because they haven’t expressed their hurt. There are ways to get it out properly. Not snapping out properly. Next. Number four, truth realignment.

Lies formed in trauma are replaced with truth. Trauma often creates lies like I am unsafe. I am unworthy. God is absent. Identify the lie.

Replace with scripture. Speak truth consistently. Trauma distorts interpretation of reality. Trauma distorts judgment. Next slide.

Step five. Forgiveness and release. Breaking internal bondages. The person releases offenders and themselves. Let all bitterness be put away.

Forgiving one another. Unforgiveness keeps the wound active. Forgiveness is not approval, not forgetting, but releasing from released from internal entanglement. Number six. Number six.

Reconstruction. The inner man is rebuilt with truth, identity, and strength. To be strengthened in the inner man with might by the spirit. The Bible does talks about that. Ephesians healing is not just removal.

It is rebuilding. Affirm identity in Christ. Establish new thought patterns. Engaged in disciplined spiritual habits. This is where comfort becomes fortification.

Next, reintegration and purpose. Return to life with strength. The person re-engages life with renewed strength and purpose. Practical. Serve others.

Share testimony. Re-enter environment with wisdom that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble. Then you become a healer yourself. Trauma is transformed. The trauma is transformed into authority to minister.

We got to heal our belief systems, our value systems, our memories, our mental models, and our subconscious judgments. Now, that’s a whole lot of stuff I just threw at you just to put it on your mind. He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down without walls. When God puts the wall around you, eventually that wall has to come in inside of you so you can regulate yourself. He says we have a strong city.

Salvation will God appoint for what? For walls. 23rd Psalms. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. It’s all in the book everywhere. Let’s worship just for a moment.

Saints, God wants us healed. God really wants us healed. He really do. Glory to God. Glory to God.

Father, I pray by your Holy Spirit that you would move on your people that we would long to see our true personality come out. Oh God, I pray we would trust God enough to be a wall of fire around us and not trauma respond to everything that happens. I pray we can sit still and trust that God has our back. I pray that there would become such a security in us that we stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. We don’t run to and fro by every wind and doctrine like children.

We’re not moved by everything, but we grow up into Christ in all things. Oh God, touch this great people of yours. Father, I plead with you to help us. Help us all from the pull pit to the door. Help all of us.

Oh God, help us. life experiences has damaged so many, some severely, some moderately, but damage the same. But oh God, you promise to put a wall of fire around us. You promise to never leave us nor forsake us. God, I know the Holy Ghost is the comforter. You’ve come to walk alongside us, to guide us into truth.

Holy Spirit, you’re not just a jump and shout, but you’re here to surround me. You’re here to make me feel secure. You’re here to make me rest so I can bring my true person forth. Oh God, I give myself over to you right now. Do a work in me.

I feel God’s surgery in the house right now. If you want him to do some surgery on you, there’s an anointing of surgical precision in the room right now. You got to reach out to him. You got to say, “God, I need you. I need you in this fashion.

Glory to your name.” If that’s you, I want you to just come to this altar right now in the name of the Lord. And we’re going to pray for you. and we’re going to pray for you. And we’re going to pray and you want to join the church and you want to give your life to the Lord and you want to just lay before him. You don’t even want to come to the altar. You just want to lay out somewhere.

This is your Sunday to do just that. Come on up to this offer, this altar in the name of the Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Come on to this altar.

God is doing a new thing in you. We got a whole lot of people in line, so we need more altar evangelists for show today. Glory to God. Those of you watching by television, listen here. God wants us well.

He wants to be a wall of fire around you. He wants your true person to emerge. You know what I learned? I learned that you can be old and still bring forth new things about yourself. Glory to God.

I’m still bringing forth new things in me. I’m still this more secure I get, the more newness comes out of my life. So don’t say you got it all together cuz it’s going to take all of eternity to completely unwrap who we really are.

But God wants to get more out of you right where you are. Come on, yield to the Lord and pray because what comes out next may be the thing to heal your family. What comes out next may be the things that open up that great door. So don’t hold it back. Let it out.

I pray God’s blessing on you watching by live stream in the name of the Lord. In the name of the Lord. Glory to God. Lord, I give you my heart. I give you my soul.

I live for you alone. Every breath that I take, every moment I’m away, Lord, I’ll be your way. Lord, I give you my heart. I give you my heart. I give you my soul.
