What to Do With a Word

Most of us have had someone speak something over us at some point. Very few of us were ever taught what to do with it.

Some of you are still carrying something you were never sure about and have never told anyone — because you didn’t know whether you were allowed to ask.

School of the Prophets: Foundations is for you.

What It Is

A six-class course, open to the entire congregation. No prior experience required. No prophetic gift required.

It will teach you what a word from God is actually for, how God speaks, how to weigh what you hear, and how to recognize a counterfeit.

What It Isn’t

  • It will not tell you whether you are a prophet.
  • It will not put you on a team.
  • Nobody is being evaluated for placement.

The Six Classes

Over six Saturdays, the course covers:

  • The purpose of prophecy — what exhortation, edification, and comfort actually mean
  • Discerning the voice of God — the many ways He speaks
  • Prophetic atmospheres, arts, music, and worship
  • Receiving and releasing prophetic words
  • Testing and judging a word — how any believer weighs what they hear
  • Navigating a culture that is loud about the prophetic — recognizing perversions and counterfeits
  • Prophetic acts and symbols

When

Six Saturdays at Embassy Metro Detroit — 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET — with no class on Sept 26 (the ECCI Congress Leadership Retreat is that day) or Oct 31.
