It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I am contemplating a verse in the Bible that admonishes us to endure hardness as a good soldier. The Apostle Paul shares this with Timothy. He encourages Timothy to endure hardness as a good soldier.
One of the ways by which God enables us to do that is in the midst of warfare. We are in a ground war (and we’re winning) and this can sometimes create seasons and places of discomfort and perhaps even agony. But the Bible says the Holy Ghost which is the Comforter has come.
In the midst of some adverse position you find yourself in today, remember the Holy Spirit will comfort you; He will insulate you and give you insight. He will give revelation; He will illuminate you with things to protect you from the difficulties and enable you to endure the hardness as a good soldier. The enemy wants to wear you out; he wants you to stop because he knows if you stand, he will soon fade away and you will take the territory. The Bible says submit yourselves therefore unto God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.
I’m sensing the enemy’s power is waning, and we are moving forward. God loves you so much and so do I.
